On June 11, 2008 is the day to celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of the Union Pacific Railroad bringing its first train load of visitors to the West gate of Yellowstone National Park thus creating the town of West Yellowstone.
The Union pacific Railroad complex built between 1909 and 1929 became the heart of West yellowstone. Come celebrate the past one hundred years iwth us in a day of historic presentations and music. Events will be centered on the Oregon Shortline terminus historic District's Unip pacific Dining Lodge. Walking tours will be available all day as well as rides in historic White Motor Coach Touring buses. An evenin program of music will be provided by the Montana Mandolin Society.
